Adam’s Story

In December 2003, Adam stumbled upon an old website while searching for alternative ways to manage his HIV diagnosis. The site, initially created by a group called Grouppe Kurosawa, shared unconventional treatment protocols using natural remedies and over-the-counter supplements. While we are not affiliated with them and can’t speak to their current work or credibility, we’ve archived some of their content here because Adam’s experience was particularly compelling.

At the time, Adam had already decided to avoid standard antiretroviral treatment. He believed the drugs were too toxic, and he wanted something gentler on his body. However, this choice came with risks. Adam had experienced a severe seroconversion in August 2003, which left him bedridden with intense fevers and debilitating headaches for weeks. By December, his CD4 count had dropped to 853, and his viral load was climbing steadily. Based on these numbers, doctors would have classified him as a “fast progressor.”

In March 2004, Adam decided to try one of the protocols shared on the Kurosawa site. Although it wasn’t a cure and there were no guarantees, he felt like he had little to lose. Surprisingly, within just three weeks, his lab results began to shift. His CD4 count had risen to over 1000, and his viral load started to decrease—remarkably, even while he was dealing with a flare-up of hepatitis B.

Of course, the journey wasn’t perfect. Initially, some of the ingredients used caused setbacks, including a reactivation of his hepatitis infection. However, these issues were quickly addressed, and Adam followed the protocol. By September, his CD4 count had returned to a near-normal level of 1150, and his viral load had dropped to about 5,200. He reported feeling stronger and healthier than he had in years.

It’s important to note that we can’t claim this approach works for everyone. We are simply sharing Adam’s story here for reference. He followed a path that made sense to him, using freely available information at the time. This site now exists purely to preserve his story—nothing more, nothing less.
