Reflections
It's Sunday morning, a time for reflection.
December was a month to remember for me, and not in a good way.
First I overpromised on my eBook on Retarding Muscle Atrophy and I couldn't deliver. The project just got larger and larger. So I stopped selling the document. In it's present form, it is grossly underpriced at $100. The document now is being split into sections on building muscle mass, losing weight, and controlling growth hormone and testosterone release and sensitivity. In addition, everything is further linked to increasing longevity. I found some great stuff, but it turned out to be very difficult to translate the information so the average person could understand and utilize it. The people who already ordered the document will get the first part, Building Muscle Mass, shortly via email. They will get the other parts later. It is amazing what has been published in scientific documents that the public knows nothing about.
Then, to add further stress, my friend of 45 years, Ruthie, comes down with aggressive breast cancer. She had been on Premarin for 32 years. That's an estrogen drug used by women who are post-menopausal or who have had a hysterectomy. So she had her breast removed and almost died from a post surgery infection. Every time she was in the hospital the staff tried to get her to go home. In the first case, they couldn't stop the bleeding, but they STILL wanted her to leave. In the second, her infection was still present and they tried to get her to leave again. These fucking HMOs want to turn over their beds as fast as possible. When Ruthie told me how crudely they ripped out her drainage tubes and surgical staples, I wanted to throw up. I was physically ill. No local pain killers...just rip, rip and rip. Fucking savages...
Then God sent the rain and it didn't stop. My house escaped damage but many others weren't as lucky. The business district in the Marin County town of San Anselmo, where I grew up, is totally destroyed by floods. No one had flood insurance. My favorite restaurant, Debbie Does Desserts, is gone. I couldn't get to my storage room to break out the palmitic acid, etc, because the street was full of mud.
Then Anna, my good buddy and patron saint of all women with breast cancer, came down with a terrible cold or Flu and has been sick for two weeks. She and her husband Bob and their two kids are all sick. She says their house is like a tubercular ward. I am not sick but I worry about everyone else. Personally, I am too obnoxious to get sick. Stressed, yes, but rarely sick with an infectious disease.
Now my 84 year old mother Milly has bad gout and cannot walk. This isn't the first time this has happen. Her HMO Kaiser won't give her indomethasin, one of the only anti-inflammatory drugs that work. Her doctor, a nice woman of questionable ability, tells us to use ibuprofen. Nuts! We'll just see about that. Call security, the infamous Dr. Steve is really pissed off. I can't stand to see my 84 year old mother cry all the time.
It's still raining, but only now and then.
I am cranking out the Blogs as fast as I can. Sooooo...
Stay tuned...

Wishing you brighter days...
sounds like the only way now is up...
Give your mother green tea extract, 1 gram every 8 hr as a xanthine oxidase inhibitor along with celery seed extract 1800 mg q8h and to promote uric acid excretion, vit C 1-2 grams q12h and some herbal anti-inflammatory agents like devil's claw, boswellia, ginger, bromelain, etc. (which can be bought as a mixture sold for controlling arthritis pain at health food stores and on the internet. I have been controlling my own gout very nicely with these natural agents for years. As a retired physician, I assure you that herbal agents are much safer and just as effective as synthetic drugs.
Excellent. Lots of people suffer from gout. Write up your protocol and send it to me at smartin@grouppekurosawa.net and I will write a Blog on it.
Thanks so much.
