From HIV Fast Progressor to Almost Undetectable HIV Infection Using ONLY Natural Medicines

Adam, my first and most successful HIV mouse, contacted me yesterday with an update.

This is Adam's remarkable story. I didn't save his life. He is a very determined individual who saved his own life, refusing to take HIV drugs because of their toxicity. I just helped.

The following are portions of his emails to me yesterday. Over a year ago, Adam's CD4 count was 1150 and his HIV titer was 5200. This is after treatment with EGCG, anti-oxidants, etc. Now his CD4 is largely the same but his HIV count has further declined to 898.

"I am doing great actually. I just had a run in with Strep Throat, but other than that, I've been fit as a fiddle. I do still enjoy reading your newsletter. You always crack me up. Trust me, I in NO WAY associate your name "Dr. Steve" with that crackpot "Dr. Phil". You're the real deal..........who knows what that other guy is.

My last test results reported nearly undetectable viral load and my CD4's are still hoovering around the 1100 mark.......just fyi :-)

I hope you're cool with this, but as you have made changes in the protocol on the blogs, I have made those same changes for what I am taking. I added ECGC back, mainly because of all the other health benefits it adds to the body, and I'm convinced that that was what killed my final remaining viral load. I've had no recurrance of the Hep B infection since you told me to go ahead and get the vaccine after my nasty bout with it, and everything else is fabulous!

Don't suppose you have any good advice for a parent who's watching his babies all grow up and move into huge, new stages of their lives do ya? I'm such a cry baby when it comes to my children. I want to keep them little forever.......but it just ain't happening, dang it.

Enough of my woe's. Thank you so much for writing me. I think about you a lot and owe a HUGE debt of gratitude to you. I have wanted to write you but have always stopped myself because I know you're hearing from so many people who need your time and attention so much more than I do. For the last year or so, Adam's supplement protocol consisted of the following:

3 grams of Quercetin 2x/day in coconut milk
600 mgs ALA at one time
1800 mg NAC 2x/day
1000 mg Milk Thistle 2x/day
1000 mg vitamin C esters 2x/day

In December, Adam changed his protocol to the following. He wanted EGCG back in his protocol in an effort to eliminate all traces of the HIV virus.

4 grams of 70% EGCG in capsule form. He dropped coconut milk.
4 grams of Quercetin in capsules
4 grams of L-Glutamine
600 mgs of ALA
4 grams of L-Arginine
3200 mgs of NAC
1 gram of Milk Thistle
3 grams of vitamin C ester, 1500 mg 2x/day.

I will try to get Adam to take Quercetin and EGCG in cream if he cannot get coconut milk in his town any longer. Capsules just aren't very bioavailable.

If you read Adam's story, you will see that his HIV infection turned around when he began taking 6 grams of EGCG in coconut milk. The anti-oxidants and Quercetin came months later.

The addition of glutamine and arginine are recent additions also.

EGCG is the key to fighting HIV infections. Everything else is secondary. I recently did a quick review of EGCG and its biochemistry as it pertains to HIV infections.

EGCG inhibits the activity of the genetic factor STAT1, which INHIBITS STAT4, an activator of cell mediated immunity and IL-12 synthesis. Notice that Adam was feeling good before EGCG treatment began. He was dying, but he felt well. The EGCG made him sick and uncomfortable. This is because EGCG inhibited STAT1 and activated the immune system against the virus. No one fells good when their immune system kicks in and attacks a viral infection.

The following study shows that EGCG painted onto the skin of mice induces substantial IL-12 synthesis in draining lymph nodes after exposure to UV light. This study was not done in a culture dish; it was conducted on an animal which makes the data much more credible.

IL-12 is a major activator of cell mediated immunity, the arm of the immune system that attacks virally infected cells.

IL-12 synthesis is well known to be defective in HIV infections.

Also note that Adam's CD4 T cell count increased very rapidly while he was taking only EGCG and melatonin. His HIV titer decreased at a much slower rate. This suggests to me that EGCG activated Adam's cell mediated immune response, increasing his CD4 T cell count at the same time.
